Reverse Engineering

Coming back from the United States more than a year ago, I bought a book by Mark Batterson, pastor of the National Community Church in Washington D.C.

brainThe title of his book is quite long—In the Pit With A Lion On Snowy Day—but I promise you, once you get hold of that book and start reading it, it will make you realize that God has ordained opportunities for you to seize, dreams for you to chase and “lions you ought to kill”.

The book takes off from one obscure passage in the Scripture of the Old Testament where Benaiah, one of David’s mighty men, managed to chase a lion during a snowy day and killed it in a pit.

Ever heard of someone chasing a lion in a pit on a snowy day? That’s rather strange, isn’t it?
